We all know the story of David and Goliath. We know how a simple shepherd boy defeated a great giant, the enemy of God’s people and defier of the Lord Most High. We also know that David was a man, the Bible says, “after God’s own heart”. A quick look into the story of David and Goliath will shed some light onto why he was a man after God’s own heart.

1 Samuel 17:20 KJV

“And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle.”
